When taking pictures try to include a nice foreground into the mix. This will make your pictures stand out and create a look than not everyone take the time to do it. COMPOSITION is the word....GO OUT AND TAKE PICTURES!!!!

She was so happy to show me her engagement ring that I asked her to take a picture of her so she could send it to her friends and announce her recent engagement. She accepted right away. Fortunately, I had my Canon G9 and snapped a few shots. I got some nice pictures for my portfolio and maybe a wedding portrait session. Networking thru a point and shoot camera....

While being in an elevator with my daughter I asked her to look up. After a few minutes of postprocessing I came up with a concept that reflected the mood of the day. Most of the time you make photos and not just take them. Make your imagination add to the vision of the photos at hand. Good luck!
